The day after Christmas, or Boxing Day in New Zealand, we headed to the South Island with Cody, JoEllen and the gang. So to answer the title of this post, you pretty much fit everyone in one way only, with exchanges between those of similar size. Luckily turf wars were held to a minimum throughout the journey.
We had to catch the ferry in Wellington about 7am, so it was an early start for the adventure. The ferry takes about 4 hours. The route is to exit Wellington Harbor, cross the Cook Strait, then travel up Marlborough Sound to the small port of Picton.

| We had a wooden block for each person and the vehicle, to prove that we had paid. |

| Approaching Picton |
We played tourist in Picton for an hour, then picnic'd in a park. Then headed to Christchurch for the night. No other pictures. The journey took about 6 1/2 hours. We started a theme for the trip. A different type of ethnic food each evening for the adults. Ethen was brave and decided to join the adults in this adventure. 1st night: Moroccan. Very good.
